Worn Out!

Slept a little later today, and headed into the city again to explore. Met a deaf peddler on the PATH train named Alphonse and got to tell him why we were in the city. He was familiar with the Witnesses. Hey, a few minutes of service to start out the day felt good! Ate at a cute little place called the Tick Tock Diner for breakfast on 34th St. After that, we walked down to the Circle Lines tour boats and took a ride on 'the beast' a 30 minute speed boat tour of the NY harbor. Lots of fun!! There was loud music, speed and gruff guys with a fun sense of humor - all the things the boys would enjoy.

Next we headed back toward Rockefeller Plaza to go on the NBC Studios Tour. We stopped at Subway and got subs for everyone on the way. I picked up the tickets for the tour at 1:45 and our tour started at 2:15. It was neat, but the real bummer was that no pictures were allowed anywhere on the tour as all the sets are copyrighted. We saw the set for Saturday Night Live, the other sets were in use at the time we came.

Decided we'd go up to the Bronx to see the zoo, but enroute I discovered the zoo closes at 5PM! Wasted over an hour to and from the Bronx, but the boys got to see 'the hood' and were on the lookout for gangs and theives. Shawn was of course a bit nervous. It reminded me of Chicago so I just rolled with it.

Got back to Manhattan and had dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. While walking back to Penn Station, we found a store called Conway that sold men's clothes at really cheap prices. The boys bought 6 dress shirts (at $3.99 each!) plus a few ties. Noah was disappointed - everything was too big for him. James & Jonathan both said - 'Aunt Theresa will be really proud of us!' The love to make their Auntie proud of their wardrobes!

Now back at the Marriott, boys are swimming and I'm going to join them down there now.

Talk to you all tomorrow!
